In 2019 I was very fortunate to be commissioned to create a 9’x15′ latch hook rug portrait of Minnie Pearl for the brand new Graduate Hotel in Nashville.
In 2019 I was very fortunate to be commissioned to create a 9′ × 15′ latch hook rug portrait of Minnie Pearl for the brand new Graduate Hotel in Nashville.
It was a fevered marathon of hooking with a lot of help from my assistant — my mom — and patience from my four-year-old twins. In the end it took somewhere between 1000 and 1300 hours to complete.
Minnie was featured in Star Magazine and in Handcrafted Hotels: Nashville on Discovery+.
