In 2019 I was very fortunate to be commissioned to create a 9’x15′ latch hook rug portrait of Minnie Pearl for the brand new Graduate Hotel in Nashville. It was a fevered marathon of hooking with a lot of help from my assistant – my mom – and patience from my 4-year old twins. In the end it took somewhere between 1000 and 1300 hours to complete.
